Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Arizona say "statutory agent" instead of "registered agent"?

Arizona statute uses the term "statutory agent" for this role. Functionally, it is identical to what 49 other states call a registered agent — a designated person or entity that accepts legal documents and state mail on behalf of your business. Same job, different label.

Can I act as my own statutory agent?

No. Arizona explicitly prohibits a business entity from serving as its own statutory agent. You must designate an external individual (18+, Arizona resident) or an authorized business entity. This is unlike most states where self-appointment is technically allowed.

Does Arizona require annual reports?

No. Arizona does not impose an annual report or franchise tax on standard LLCs and corporations. Once your entity is formed, there is no recurring state filing. You just need to maintain a valid statutory agent and keep your information current with the Corporation Commission.

How much does it cost to change my statutory agent?

The state charges $5 for LLC agent changes and $0 for corporation agent changes. That is just the state fee — our service itself is $99/year with no transfer or setup charges on our end.

What documents come through the statutory agent address?

Lawsuits (service of process), Corporation Commission correspondence, regulatory notices, and any other official mail the state or courts direct to your registered address. Since Arizona has no annual report, you will not receive report reminders from the state — but you may still receive compliance notices or legal process.

How quickly do you forward documents?

Same business day, every time. We scan incoming mail and deliver the digital version to your email within hours of receipt. It also posts to your online vault automatically.

What is the Arizona Corporation Commission?

It is the agency that handles business entity filings in Arizona — performing the function that a Secretary of State handles in most other states. They oversee formations, dissolutions, agent changes, and compliance matters. Their portal is azcc.gov/corporations.

Will my home address appear on public records?

Not if you use our service. Our physical Arizona address replaces yours on all Corporation Commission filings. Your home or office location will not show up in the state's entity search.

I am forming an LLC from out of state. Can I still use you?

Absolutely. You do not need to be an Arizona resident to form an Arizona LLC. You do need a statutory agent physically in Arizona, which is exactly what we provide. Works the same for foreign qualification too.

How do I cancel?

Email us before your renewal date. Your service continues through the end of the current annual term. After that, you are responsible for naming a new statutory agent with the Corporation Commission to keep your entity in compliance.
