Change Your Registered Agent in Arizona: One Form, Five Bucks

Five dollars and one form. That is what an LLC pays Arizona to change registered agent, and corporations pay nothing at all. Arizona's statutes say "statutory agent" where everyone else says registered agent; same role, same swap. Here is the 2026 playbook.

The Form: L020

For LLCs the filing is Form L020, formally the LLC Statement of Change of Principal Address or Statutory Agent, a statement of change under A.R.S. § 29-3116. It goes to the Arizona Corporation Commission's Corporations Division.

Corporations use their own ACC change statement and pay no fee for it.

One extra piece: the incoming agent has to consent in writing on Form M002, the Statutory Agent Acceptance, and the appointment only becomes effective once the ACC receives that signed form. No fee attached.

Five Steps to a New Registered Agent

1. Line up the replacement: an Arizona-resident individual, or a corporation or LLC that is domestic or authorized to do business in the state.
2. Get Form M002 signed by the new agent, because without the acceptance on file the appointment never takes effect.
3. Fill out Form L020: entity name, ACC file number, new agent's name and street address.
4. File at https://ecorp.azcc.gov/ (or mail it) and pay the $5 LLC fee; tack on $35 only if you want expedited handling.
5. Pull up the ACC entity search afterward and confirm the new agent shows on your record.
